Be honest in your assessment of what you get back from your writer, website and brochure designers. Try to be specific. “I don’t like the way it looks” is not as helpful as, “I didn’t like the way the print is spaced on the page.”
Equally important is: What do you like? Colors, photographs layout, fonts?
Specific guidance gives the creative team the starting points to make you happy and saves money by foregoing trial and error until you’re satisfied.
